|Winner Louise Corser with Alistair and Jenny Gibbs|
I’m always so happy for people that are passionate and do well in the interior design industry, especially students who are up-and-coming. So I decided to attend the Savoir Beds competition awards ceremony, and what a great opportunity it was. The competition objective was to design a headboard for Savoir beds’.

For this years’ theme was ‘glamour’ which gave the candidates plenty of scope to be as creative as possible. To be in it to win it you had to demonstrate your inspiration, provide front elevations, isometric representation and fabrics. From over 50 entrants the judging panel of leading industry professionals including KLC whittled the competition down to FOUR LUCKY FINALISTS.

Alistair of Savoir Beds’ announced the lucky overall WINNER as Louise Corser for her ‘CRYSTAL’ themed headboard, inspired by the simplicity and culture of Japan. The design is simple and oozes sophistication. The crystals symbolise blossoms on a delicate branch whilst adding glamour. Louise will be jetting off for a weekend break in Vienna at a top luxury hotel courtesy of Savoir with a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne. Well done!

The runner up was Lindsey Roberts from London who bagged the prize of a bottle of Veuve Clicquot champagne for her beautiful ‘BURLESQUE’ themed headboard. I liked this design for its boldness and risk-factor. It had a lush choice of colours and Ooo-la-la feel.
